The RotJ Guard is where my passion and research has been focussed since 1983. *heh* That one is two mirrored back pieces sewn together down the centre back, a right side piece that sews down the right side to the back and ends in a line straight down from the neck opening, and a left side piece that sews down the left side to the back and comes across the front to be sewn/snapped/hhoked/valcroed to the first four inches or so of the right side seam -- with a couple pleats to give it the distinctive draping.
Now that I've seen the Prequel design is not just a modified RotJ-style, I've scrapped the modded RotJ pattern that I was working on. Need to do one from scratch as I learn more...
